All Ellefson Group appraisal reports are certified and USPAP compliant providing assurance that they meet the strict criteria of lenders, SBA, IRS and courts.
A certified report means the appraiser producing the report has earned their accreditation by passing rigorous education requirements, has gone through a peer review process, and is advancing their knowledge through continued education. Our appraisers have obtained expert designations from the Institute of Equipment Valuation.
Appraisal Types
On-Site Appraisals: A site visit is conducted where the items are visually identified and the owner is asked pertinent questions such as condition and maintenance.
Desk-Top Appraisals: A site visit and visual identification does not occur. Photos and description info are provided to the appraiser to perform a credible valuation. These assignments are considered a Restricted Report and have a lower cost and much quicker completion time.
